RISING TO THE TOP

Australia's very own, Andrej Pejic has truly captivated the catwalks from around the world. This "BOY WONDER" is anything but extraordinary. He has been the catalyst in fashion for pushing the boundaries of beauty and what is plain "democratically" acceptable. 19 year old Pejic claims that his position in the fashion industry is "...a different form of beauty that fashion hasn't fully explored yet. I'm pretty comfortable with the perception of me being as androgynous"- Vogue March 2011. Andrej Pejic has thus opened the realities of men being women and vice versa, interpreted through fashion, and fashion has truly embraced this, made evident by Pejic opening and closing the Jean Paul Gaultier Men's show and this year's Couture inspired by James Bond. He was also worked for Marc Jacobs ad campaign for this season. Andrej has come a long way and it couldnt be put perfectly by Australian Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Kirstie Clements : "....Keep an eye on this guy; he's going to be huge."
